PolyPro® XL CYST RETENTIVE FILTER

Pathogenic cysts, such as Cryptosporidium Parvum and Giardia lamblia, are present in surface water as well as water under the influence of surface water. Ingestion of these cysts can have serious health consequences, particularly for infants, the elderly, or immuno-compromised individuals. Removal of cysts with absolute rated PolyPro XL filters is an effective method of ensuring safe drinking water.

NSF International is a widely respected independent certification organization and the accepted authority in evaluating filter claims related to water and public health. Only products tested and certified by NSF are allowed to carry their mark.

Unlike many competitive filter cartridges that claim to be tested against NSF Standard 53 (even by the filter company's own laboratory), the PolyPro XL filter was tested and certified by NSF at their laboratories. This assures the rigor, reproducibility, and impartially that the bottled water industry has come to except from NSF.

The PolyPro® XL series filter cartridge has been tested and certified by NSF International to the demanding ANSI/NSF Standard 53 for pathogenic cyst reduction. NSF Standard 53 was developed in conjunction with the bottled water industry to provide a reliable method of filter evaluation in accordance with EPA and CDC recommendations for cyst removal.
